What do Women Want?

What do Women Want?

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. Hence, the monarch offered him his freedom if he could answer a very difficult question.

King Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question is, "What do women really want?"

Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man and to young King Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. However, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began asking people for the answer. He asked the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch for only she would have the answer. Nevertheless, the price would be high. The witch was famous throughout the kingdom for charging exorbitant prices.

The last day of the year arrived and King Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur's closest friend! Young King Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage and often made obscene noises. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend marry her and endure such a terrible burden. However when Lancelot learned of the proposal, he went to speak with King Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question.
She said, "What a woman really wants is to be in charge of her own life."

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and King Arthur's life would be spared.

The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom when he heard the answer. Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. To his great surprise, he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen laying before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as an ugly witch, she would reward him by being her horrible deformed self only half the time. For the other half of the time, she would be a beautiful maiden.

Which would he prefer? Would he prefer her to be beautiful during the day or during the night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. Should he have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends in the day, but have an old witch in the privacy of his castle at night? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments at night?

What would you do?

What Lancelot chose is below. However, you have to make your choice before you scroll down below.

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow her to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now what is the moral to this story?

The moral is, "If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly!"

MMA for HEALTH & WELLNESS

Wellness is first and foremost a choice to assume responsibility for the quality of your life. It begins with a conscious decision to shape a healthy lifestyle. Wellness is a mind set, a predisposition to adopt a series of key principles in varied life areas that lead to high levels of well-being and life satisfaction.
A consequence of this focus is that a wellness mind set will protect you against temptations to blame someone else, make excuses, shirk accountability, whine or wet your pants in the face of adversity. (I threw that in to help you remember this explanation.)

Taekwondo /ˌtaɪˌkwɒnˈdoʊ/ (Korean 태권도 (跆拳道) [tʰɛk͈wʌndo]) is a martial art originating in Korea. It combines combat and self-defense techniques with sport and exercise. In 1989, taekwondo was the world's most popular martial art. Gyeorugi (pronounced [kjʌɾuɡi]), a type of sparring, has been an Olympic event since 2000.

In Korean, tae (태, 跆) means "to strike or break with foot"; kwon (권, 拳) means "to strike or break with fist"; and do (도, 道) means "way", "method", or "path". Thus, taekwondo may be loosely translated as "the way of the foot and the hand." The name taekwondo is also written as taekwon-do, tae kwon-do or tae kwon do by various organizations.

RUNNING 101

Click image below to watch video:

Running is a means of terrestrial locomotion allowing humans and other animals to move rapidly on foot. It is simply defined in athletics terms as a gait in which at regular points during the running cycle both feet are off the ground. This is in contrast to walking, where one foot is always in contact with the ground, the legs are kept mostly straight and the center of gravity vaults over the stance leg or legs in an inverted pendulum fashion. A characteristic feature of a running body from the viewpoint of spring-mass mechanics is that changes in kinetic and potential energy within a stride occur simultaneously, with energy storage accomplished by springy tendons and passive muscle elasticity. The term running can refer to any of a variety of speeds ranging from jogging to sprinting.
The ancestors of mankind developed the ability to run for long distances about four and a half million years ago,[citation needed] probably in order to hunt animals. Competitive running grew out of religious festivals in various areas. Records of competitive racing date back to theTailteann Games in Ireland in 1829 BCE,[citation needed] while the first recorded Olympic Games took place in 776 BCE.

Mixed martial arts

Mixed martial arts (MMA), is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, from a variety of other combat sports. The roots of modern mixed martial arts can be traced back to the ancient Olympics where one of the earliest documented systems of codified full range unarmed combat was in the sport of pankration. Various mixed style contests took place throughout EuropeJapan and the Pacific Rimduring the early 1900s. The combat sport of vale tudo that had developed in Brazil from the 1920s was brought to the United States by the Gracie family in 1993 with the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The more dangerous vale-tudo-style bouts of the early UFCs were made safer with the implementation of additional rules, leading to the popular regulated form of MMA seen today. Originally promoted as a competition with the intention of finding the most effective martial arts for real unarmed combat situations, competitors were pitted against one another with minimal rules. Later, fighters employed multiple martial arts into their style while promoters adopted additional rules aimed at increasing safety for competitors and to promote mainstream acceptance of the sport. The name mixed martial arts was coined by television critic Howard Rosenberg, in 1993, in his review of UFC 1.  The term gained popularity when the website newfullcontact.com, then one of the biggest covering the sport, hosted and reprinted the article. Following these changes, the sport has seen increased popularity with a pay per view business that rivals boxing and professional wrestling.

ATM

Automated teller machine

An automated teller machine or automatic teller machine (ATM) (AmericanAustralian and Indian English), also known as an automated banking machine(ABM) in Canadian English, and a cash machinecashpointcashline or sometimes a hole in the wall in British English and Hiberno-English, is a computerized telecommunications device that enables the clients of a financial institution to perform financial transactions without the need for a cashier, human clerk or bank teller. ATMs are known by various other names including ATM machineautomated banking machine, "cash machine" (Geldautomat - Germany) and various regional variants derived from trademarks on ATM systems held by particular banks.
On most modern ATMs, the customer is identified by inserting a plastic ATM card with a magnetic stripe or a plastic smart card with a chip that contains a unique card number and some security information such as an expiration date or CVVC (CVV). Authentication is provided by the customer entering a personal identification number (PIN). The newest ATM at Royal Bank of Scotland operates without a card to withdraw cash up to £100.[1]
Using an ATM, customers can access their bank accounts in order to make cash withdrawals, debit card cash advances, and check their account balances as well as purchase pre-paid mobile phone credit. If the currency being withdrawn from the ATM is different from that which the bank account is denominated in (e.g.: Withdrawing Japanese Yen from a bank account containing US Dollars), the money will be converted at an official wholesale exchange rate. Thus, ATMs often provide one of the best possible official exchange rates for foreign travellers, and are also widely used for this purpose.
